A section of Congress Street in Portland was temporarily closed to traffic Sunday evening after a commercial truck crashed into a vehicle parked next to Lincoln Park.

Police said the impact of the collision pushed the parked vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, into a utility pole. Wires from the pole fell into the roadway, forcing the section between Pearl and Franklin streets to be shut down.

Police said there were no injuries in the crash, which was reported around 7:30 p.m. A repair crew from Central Maine Power Co. was called to repair the damage.

Congress Street was open to traffic again as of 8:43 p.m., police said on Twitter.
