Brunswick police say a car went airborne and crashed into a warehouse after the driver lost control on Bath Road Thursday evening.

Lindsay Easterling, 28, of Bath lost control of her car around 5:15 p.m., crossed the center line and two commercial properties “before taking flight,” Lt. Todd Ridlon said in a statement late Thursday.

“The car crashed into the side of, and through a warehouse,” Ridlon said.

Easterling was transported to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, where she was treated and released.

Ridlon said that at the time of the collision the warehouse was empty. A construction worker, who was behind the building heard the crash, went to the site, and used a fire extinguisher to put out a small fire that had started inside the building.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police do not think that alcohol was a factor.
