Yarmouth police caught one of the two people who fled into a wooded area after a traffic stop near McCartney and West Elm streets Thursday evening.
The incident took place in front of Yarmouth High School around 8:30 p.m. A police dispatcher said one of the individuals had been taken into custody.
Police were still on the scene trying to piece together what may have caused the individuals to flee. A police dog was being used to track the suspect who was still missing.
