About 600 Central Maine Power customers remained without electricity Saturday afternoon following a thunderstorm that passed through southern Maine on Friday night.

As of 1 p.m., 605 customers were without power, down from 10,439 customers without power at midnight.

Almost all of those without power are in Cumberland County.

The outages were caused by downed trees and power lines.

Crews are working to restore power. A Central Maine Power dispatcher said there is no estimate on when the repairs will be complete.

WCSH-TV reported on Twitter on Friday night that trees and power lines were down on Leighton Road in Falmouth. The station also included some footage of the lightning.
