A multiple-car crash on Interstate 295 near Exit 4 in South Portland caused severe traffic backups throughout Portland and South Portland this evening.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the northbound lanes and had been cleared by 6 p.m., according to reports from WCSH-6.
