TORONTO — Jonathan Schoop singled home the go-ahead run in the 12th inning and the Baltimore Orioles ended a season-worst five-game losing streak, beating Toronto 6-2 Sunday to reclaim the AL East lead.

Adam Jones hit his 20th homer later in the 12th, a three-run shot that helped the Orioles avoid a three-game sweep and move a half-game ahead of the Blue Jays.

Mychael Givens (8-1) worked one inning for the victory as the Orioles won for the first time in six games at Toronto.

Pedro Alvarez walked to begin the 12th and moved up on a balk by Franklin Morales (0-1). One out later, Schoop lined a single for his third hit of the game.

RANGERS 5, ROYALS 3: Mitch Moreland homered for the fifth time in his last five starts and Lucas Harrell won in his Texas debut as the Rangers beat Kansas City to finish a sweep of the four-game series.

Harrell (3-2) gave up three runs and four hits – including solo home runs to Eric Hosmer and Drew Butera – in six innings.

RAYS 5, YANKEES 3: Rookie left-hander Blake Snell struck out nine over 51/3 innings, Luke Maile had a key two-run single and Tampa Bay completed a three-game sweep in St. Petersburg, Florida.

TIGERS 11, ASTROS 0: James McCann capped a six-run first inning with his first career grand slam as Detroit completed a three-game sweep of visiting Houston.

TWINS 6, WHITE SOX 4: Brian Dozier homered twice and Ervin Santana posted another strong start one day before the trade deadline as Minnesota beat Chicago in Minneapolis.

INDIANS 8, A’S 0: Corey Kluber limited Oakland to five hits in seven innings, Mike Napoli hit a two-run homer and Cleveland completed a three-game sweep at home after boosting its postseason hopes by acquiring reliever Andrew Miller.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

MARLINS 5, CARDINALS 4: Pinch-hitter Derek Dietrich hit an RBI triple with two out in the ninth inning, and Miami beat St. Louis to earn a split of their four-game series in Miami.

BRAVES 2, PHILLIES 1: Jeff Francoeur hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the seventh inning, and host Atlanta beat Philadelphia.

Francoeur’s seventh home run this season came off Andrew Bailey (3-1), who has allowed 19 earned runs in his last 162/3 innings.

METS 6, ROCKIES 4: Neil Walker hit a go-ahead, three-run homer in the seventh inning that rallied New York past Colorado and prevented a season sweep, in New York.

BREWERS 4, PIRATES 2: Keon Broxton and Chris Carter hit solo home runs as Milwaukee completed a three-game sweep of Pittsburgh in Milwaukee.

GIANTS 3, NATIONALS 1: Matt Cain threw five hitless innings for his 100th career victory and host San Francisco held Washington to three hits.

Cain (3-6) struck out five and walked four on 93 pitches. He handed off to George Kontos, who allowed a leadoff single to Bryce Harper in the sixth.

DODGERS 14, DIAMONDBACKS 3: Yasmani Grandal and Corey Seager each hit three-run home runs, Joc Pederson added a two-run shot, and Los Angeles routed Arizona in Los Angeles.

REDS 3, PADRES 2: Homer Bailey threw 52/3 solid innings in his first start this season, pitching Cincinnati to a win in San Diego.
