In response to Donald Trump’s visit to Portland last Thursday, the Maine Green Independent Party wants to state that Maine has no room for the racism and hate that the Trump candidacy spews.
Besides the vitriolic dialogue, Trump is claiming he will create American jobs while most of his clothing line is made in Mexico and China.
While we oppose Trump on many levels, Hillary Clinton’s campaign does not resonate with the majority of Americans, either. While secretary of state, Clinton helped lobby to keep Haiti’s minimum hourly wage at 40 cents to benefit the garment industry.
The two corporate party candidates are two sides of the same coin. The American people don’t need to choose sides, we need a new coin. The Green Party candidate, Dr. Jill Stein, is that new coin.
