Live music in nature, all day Aug. 21. in Jefferson
Hidden Valley Nature Center is hosting its fifth annual Live Edge Music Festival with four acts and a female belly dancing troupe performing in the heart of the nature center. Local food and craft beer also will be offered. The nature center is home to 1,000 acres of trails as well as a large pond. Advance tickets cost $20. To learn more, call 389-5150.

Join Boothbay Region Land Trust for a hike and history lesson of Indiantown Island Preserve, which is accessible via motorboat or kayak. Please contact the land trust if you need help arranging transportation to the preserve. The hike is limited to 15 participants and registration is required. Call 633-4818.
