York County sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-car crash on Route 11 in Limington that sent a woman to the hospital Wednesday morning.

The accident on Route 11, also known as Sokokis Avenue, occurred about 7:30 a.m. near Limington Town Hall.

Sarah Warren, 45, of East Baldwin was driving her 2012 Toyota Camry north on Sokokis Avenue when it left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Warren suffered injuries to a leg and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Portland by Limington Rescue.

The investigation shows that Warren may have fallen asleep or suffered a medical event that caused her to leave the roadway, the sheriff’s department said in a news release. The investigation is continuing.
