Yarmouth police were still seeking a man Saturday morning who smashed a stolen car into a house at 32 Main St. Friday night.

The car, a pickup truck reported stolen in Lewiston earlier in the day, was spotted by police in Yarmouth at about 8 p.m. A brief chase followed before the truck failed to make a curve and went off the road and into the front of the house.

The suspect, who was white and wore a white T-shirt, appeared to have minor cuts and a limp, police said. Police dogs were unable to locate the man and the search was called off at 10:30 p.m. A police dispatcher said Saturday police are continuing to look for the man.
