I’ve been watching this drama about a new hockey team for Portland unfold for a while now.

I believe the answer is to find a local investor, just like the Sea Dogs and the Red Claws did.

The trustees got caught with their pants down when the Pirates left town. Let’s find a local source of dollars, who can sponsor a hockey team and keep it here without backroom deals affecting our hockey fans.
