Dan McKenna, playing in a foursome with Don Jordan, Chris Ross and Rich Downing, made a hole-in-one Aug. 30 on the eighth hole at Sable Oaks. McKenna used an 8-iron for his fourth ace, and his second at Sable Oaks.

Larry Dwight of Cape Arundel Golf Course and Dave Norman of Falmouth Country Club each carded a hole-in-one while playing in the Southern Maine Seniors tournament on Aug. 30 at Dunegrass Golf Club.

Dwight used a 5-wood on the 148-yard 17th hole. His playing partners were Dennis Thayer, Bill Wildes and Earle Patterson. It was his first hole-in-one in more than 60 years of playing.

Norman used a 9-iron on the 110-yard second hole to get his second career ace. His playing partners were Tom Low, George Watson and Bruce Stillings.

Jon Ray made a hole-in-one on the 13th hole at Poland Spring Country Club on Sept. 1. Ray used a 6-iron for the 169-yard shot, which was witnessed by Erik Tiner, Tommy Thompson and Dennis Verrill.

Ray Callahan aced the sixth hole at Poland Spring Country Club on Sept. 3. Callahan used a 7-iron for the 132-yard shot. Shirneen Callahan, Jill Ross and Leigh Lardieri witnessed the shot.

Al Difiore used a 5-wood to make a hole-in-one on the sixth hole at South Portland Municipal Golf Course on Sept. 4. Tim Snyder, Nate Lavallee and Christian Lavallee witnessed the feat.

Jenn Roberts carded a hole-in one on the 10th hole of the Biddeford-Saco Country Club on Sept. 6. Roberts used a pitching wedge for the 96-yard shot that was witnessed by Jean Labonte, Christine Stewart and Theresa O’Leary.

Bill Blakemore scored a hole-in-one on the sixth hole at Gorham Country Club on Sept. 7. Wayne Sanford, John Todd and Dennis Arnold witnessed Blakemore’s 9-iron shot from 141 yards.

Chris Richards of Falmouth aced the 17th hole at Nonesuch River Golf Club on Sept. 7. He used a 7-iron for the 143-yard shot, which was witnessed by Earl Paulson and Adam Foss.

Gayle Hichborn made a hole-in-one on the 146-yard 13th hole at Poland Spring Golf Course on Sept. 11.

Hichborn used a 4-iron for the shot, which was witnessed by Jen Buchanon, Cathy Honeycomb and Vicki Hadden.
