SANFORD — Chase Pierce scored the tying goal with less than four minutes left in regulation as Thornton Academy salvaged a 1-1 draw against Sanford in an SMAA boys’ soccer game Saturday.

Patrick Morris got Sanford (1-3-1) on the board midway through the first half, scoring on a header off a corner kick by Cole Randt.

Thornton is 5-0-1.

FREEPORT 2, WELLS 1: Joe Ashby scored the go-ahead goal on a setup from Jesse Bennell with 15 minutes remaining as the Falcons (3-1) edged the Warriors (2-3-1) in Freeport.

Eriksen Shea staked Freeport to a 1-0 lead 11 minutes into the contest. Liam Bell tied it with an unassisted goal 11 minutes into the second half.

Joe Burke had eight saves for the Falcons. Cameron Cousins stopped 11 shots for Wells.

FALMOUTH 5, WAYNFLETE 0: Hayden Farr scored off a corner kick just over a minute into the game and the Yachtsmen (4-0-1) cruised to a win over the Flyers (3-1-1) in Falmouth.

Jonas Spiegel scored off a pass from Farr two minutes later. Spiegel added another goal in the second half, and Michael Sanzari and Thomas Fitzgerald also scored after halftime.

CAPE ELIZABETH 6, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: The Capers (3-1-1) received goals from six players as they cruised past the Raiders (1-3) in Cape Elizabeth.

Nicolai Sabbatini, Elliott McGinn, David Hare, Matt Concannon, Quinn Hewitt and Finn Raymond each found the back of the net for Cape Elizabeth.

Noah Hart scored for Fryeburg.

TEMPLE ACADEMY 4, A.R. GOULD 1: Noah Shepard scored two goals to lead the Bereans (3-0) past the Bears (2-3) in South Portland.

Brad Smith and Will Paradis also scored for Temple.

Abdi Ibrahim recorded a goal for the Bears.

GARDINER 1, MT. VIEW 0: Casey Bourque scored in the first half to lift the Tigers (2-3) to a win at Thomas College.

Garrett Lunt assisted on the goal. Cam Bell, making his first start in goal, had eight saves.

Kevin Richards stopped three shots for Mt. View (1-4).

GORHAM 6, BONNY EAGLE 2: Alexis Fotter recorded two goals and an assist for the Rams (4-0-1) in a win over the Scots (3-2) in Standish.

Hallie Shiers and Emma Forgues each added a pair of goals for Gorham, which led 3-1 at halftime.

Cassidy Koons assisted on both Bonny Eagle goals, by Emily Byrne and Emily Ginter.

FREEPORT 2, WELLS 0: Catriona Gould scored two goals to lead the Falcons (3-1) over the Warriors (0-4) in Freeport.

Gould gave Freeport a 1-0 lead 12 minutes into the game, then added an insurance goal with 3:30 remaining in the second half.

YARMOUTH 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: The Clippers (4-0-1) scored three second-half goals to pull away from the Patriots (3-2) in Yarmouth.

Katie Clemmer had a goal and an assist, and Olivia Feeley, Cory Langenback and Eva Then also scored.

Emma Woods scored in the second half for Gray-New Gloucester.

SCARBOROUGH 4, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Gaby Panagakos scored three goals, including two in the first half on assists from Ashley Perriello, as the Red Storm (2-1-2) beat the Red Riots (1-4) in South Portland.

Leah Dickman also scored, while Emily Royce and Erin Ryan shared time in goal for Scarborough, combining for seven saves.

South Portland keepers Zoe Brown and Maria Buck made a total of nine saves.

MT. VIEW 1, GARDINER 0: Katelin Bennett sent a free kick into the upper corner of the net to give the Mustangs a win in Thorndike.

Shala Davis made six saves for Mt. View (1-4-1), while Tabytha Hembree stopped 10 shots for Gardiner (1-4).

MARANACOOK 0, LEAVITT 0: Skyeler Webb made 12 saves for Maranacook (2-1-2) and Allie Roux of Leavitt (2-2-2) had 17 saves in a draw in Turner.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 7, WISCASSET 1: Haley Fletcher and Tia Day each scored twice to lift the Mustangs (7-0) to a win at home.

Audrey Fletcher, Emily Grandahl and Abby Allen also scored for Monmouth.

Anna Mills got the only goal for Wiscasset (3-3).

POLAND 2, FREEPORT 1: Brianna Doucette had a goal and an assist for the Knights (3-2-1) as they edged the Falcons (3-2-1) in Freeport.

Doucette scored in the first half and set up a second-half goal by Olivia Bell that extended the lead to 2-0.

Natalie Anderson scored for Freeport.

KENNEBUNK 8, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Brittney Gregoire scored three goals to lead the Rams (4-2) past the Capers (2-3) in Cape Elizabeth.

Christine Jarowicz added two goals, and Katherine Koch finished with a goal and two assists.

Julia Lennon of Cape Elizabeth scored with three minutes remaining.

LAWRENCE 11, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: Nora Buck and Macie Larouche each notched a hat trick to pace the Bulldogs (4-2) to a win over the Eagles (1-5) in Newcastle.

Katelyn Gerow added two goals, and Lexi Lewis, Miranda Lambert and Hunter Mercier had one apiece. Goalie Marian Zawtowski didn’t have to make a save.

SKOWHEGAN 9, BANGOR 0: Julia Steeves scored three goals and Maliea Kelso finished with two goals and an assist as the Indians (5-1-1) rolled past the Rams (0-7) in Bangor.

Alexis Michonski, Brooklyn Hubbard, Hannah Genness and Haley Theberge each added a goal for Skowhegan, which outshot the Rams 35-0.

MT. BLUE 7, CONY 1: Hannah LeClair, Sam Ellis and Adelle Foss each scored two goals to lift the Cougars (6-0-1) to a win in Farmington.

Hannah Minns had the other goal for Mt. Blue. Molly Harmon chipped in with two assists.
