SOUTH PORTLAND — The retail service window at the South Portland Post Office was closed Tuesday to begin a renovation project that will take six to eight weeks.
During that period, retail postal services will be provided from a room to the right of the service window under the same schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.
The lobby at 15 Cottage Road will remain open 24 hours a day, so post office box customers will have uninterrupted access to their mail. Mail delivery to street addresses also will be unaffected.
