YORK — Skylar Cooney scored the winning goal on an assist from Katie Steinberg in the first overtime Tuesday as Greely edged York in girls’ soccer 3-2.

Katherine Clancy had a first-half goal on a free kick and Courtney Sullivan scored a goal in the second half for the Rangers (7-2), who trailed 2-0 at one point.

Payton Humphrey and Delaney Labonte scored for York (4-2-2).

FREEPORT 2, LAKE REGION 0: Tia Peterson scored on a breakaway to give the Falcons (5-2) a 1-0 halftime lead as they held off the Lakers (3-6) at Naples.

Madison Rock had a pair of saves for Lake Region, and Jordan Randall stopped 8 of 10 shots for Freeport.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1, FRYBURG ACADEMY 0: Mady West scored on an assist from Jaley Martin in the second half as the Patriots (5-3) edged the Raiders (3-5) at Fryeburg.

Gray-New Gloucester had an advantage in possession, outshooting its opponents by an margin of 23-2 and had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

Makayla Cooper stopped 10 shots for Fryeburg Academy, and Chelsea Davis saved a pair of shots for the Patriots.

CAMDEN HILLS 7, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 1: Kristina Kelly scored a pair of goals to pace the Windjammers (7-1) as they cruised past the Broncos (3-4-1) at Rockport.

Charlotte Messer and Bryn Anderson added one goal and one assist apiece for the Windjammers, and Ella Pierce, Eliza Roy and Kaylyn Krul each scored one goal.

Melissa Reichel scored for Hampden.

HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 2, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 1: Jenna Kepple scored an unassisted goal to give the Knights (2-5) the lead for good with about 10 minutes to play as they edged the Lions (1-6-1) at South Portland.

Javona Philbrick scored an unassisted goal to give Highview Christian the lead early in the first half, before Grace Mears tied the game on a feed from Courtney Spaulding.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1, WAYNFLETE 1: Ava Farrar scored the equalizer for the Flyers (4-2-1) midway through the second half as they rallied for a tie against the Seagulls (1-5-2) at Portland.

After a scoreless first half, the Seagulls took the lead 10 minutes into the second half on a goal by Emily Greenlee.

Tiffany Leclair finished with nine saves for the Seagulls and Ali Pope made three saves for the Flyers.

FALMOUTH 7, WELLS 0: Delaney Goodell and Meghan Dye each scored two goals as the Yachtsmen (4-4) cruised to a win over the Warriors (0-7) in Falmouth.

Lauren Bartlett made 21 saves for Wells.

BREWER 1, MT. ARARAT 0: Cassie Brown scored to lift the Witches (4-4) to a win over the Eagles (4-4) at Topsham.

Mt. Ararat keeper Kate Guerin finished with seven saves.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, KENNEBUNK 1: Riley Dall scored the go-ahead goal on a free kick in the second half to lift the Capers (4-4) over the Rams (5-3-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

The Capers opened the scoring in the first half on a goal by Tory McGrath.

Hallie Schwartzman scored the equalizer for the Rams later in the first half.

GORHAM 3, BIDDEFORD 1: Jamie Juskiewicz scored four minutes into the game and the Rams (6-2-2) went on to beat the Tigers (3-6) in Biddeford.

Mercy Dunn set up Grace Dewitt for a score with three minutes left in the first half to give Gorham a 2-0 lead at halftime. Rebekah Guay scored off a pass from Hailey Allen for Biddeford, but Grace McGouldrick put in a goal with four minutes left for Gorham to put the game away for good.

WINDHAM 3, SANFORD 2: Emily Skvorak scored the winning goal off a pass from Julia Libby with two minutes left in overtime as the Eagles (4-4-1) beat the Spartans (2-6) in Windham.

Windham took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half on a goal from Paige Laferriere, who scored off a setup from Skvorak. The Spartans responded later in the half on an unassisted goal from Kyleigh Cote to tie the game at 1-1 going into halftime.

Jess Bucklin gave Sanford a 2-1 lead with an unassisted goal early in the second half, but a breakaway goal from Callie Fielding with four minutes left in regulation forced overtime.

MARSHWOOD 5, DEERING 0: Celine Lawrence, Hannah Costin and Sophie Magliozzi each had a goal and an assist as Marshwood (9-1) topped the Rams (1-9) in Portland.

Melanie Dube and Leah Glidden also scored, and Taylor Gilbert finished with two assists.

THORNTON 7, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Taylor Ouellette’s five goals led the Trojans (6-2-1) past South Portland (3-6) in South Portland.

Cat Henaire complemented Ouellette with two goals and two assists.

Lydia Grant converted a Sophia Cummings’ assist for the Red Riots, and Bella Robinson, Ali Ouellette and Claire Decker assisted on Thornton goals.

VOLLEYBALL

WELLS 3, LAKE REGION 0: Kait Schott finished with nine aces, three kills and 26 assists to lead the Warriors (5-3) past the Lakers (1-6) at Wells.

Alyssa Loukola added five kills for the Warriors, who won in straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-17.

KENNEBUNK 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Amelia Nelson opened the second set with nine straight points to led the offense as the Rams (4-4) swept past the Golden Trojans (0-8) in three sets at Kennebunk.

Emily Hickey closed the middle set with a string of seven straight points for Kennebunk as it took the match, 25-15, 25-8, 25-16.

FALMOUTH 3, WINDHAM 1: Madi Tait served four aces, with 16 kills and 27 digs to lead Falmouth (7-2) during a victory over the Eagles (2-6) in Windham.

The Yachtsmen, after winning the first game 25-15 and losing the second 22-25, pulled away with 25-16 and 25-18 games.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3, YORK 1: Jordan Ackerman finished with six aces, three kills, nine receptions and four digs to lead the Panthers (6-1) past the Wildcats (2-6) at Yarmouth.

NYA won the first two sets 25-14 and 25-21. After losing the third set 25-23, the Panthers bounced back to down the Wildcats 25-11 in the fourth set to close out the match.

Suzanna Butterfield added four aces, one kill, one assist, 10 receptions and four digs for the Panthers and Zelda Clegg collected six kills, one assist, 10 receptions and six digs.

GREELY 3, YARMOUTH 0: Kayley Cimino served four aces and slammed 11 kills in leading the Rangers (8-0) to a 25-8, 25-12, 25-13 straight-set victory over Yarmouth (6-1) in Cumberland.

Molly Chapin added an ace and nine kills for Greely, and Morgan Selby an ace and two kills.

SCARBOROUGH 3, DEERING 0: Asia Mattress and Lauren Quintiliani each had five kills to lead the Red Storm (8-1) past the Rams (5-3) at Portland.

Quintiliani also had two blocks for the Red Storm, who won by set scores of 25-12, 25-14 and 25-22.

Maddy Broda finished with 13 assists for the Rams.

Deering also got five kills from Kaylee Helmick and three blocks from Cindy Hoang.
