YORK — Sydney Bouchard got things started for York High, scoring three minutes into the second half off a setup from Isabel Bretz, and the Wildcats rolled from there in a 4-0 field hockey win over Lake Region on Wednesday that improved their record to 11-0.
Lily Posternak scored unassisted five minutes later, then set up Emlyn Patry’s goal to give York a 3-0 lead with 10 minutes remaining.
Bailey Oliver completed the scoring with five minutes left.
Madelyn Nelson made eight saves for Lake Region (0-9-1).
FALMOUTH 1, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Kate Kelley scored with 13:22 remaining to push the Yachtmen (10-2) past the Raiders (4-6-1) at Falmouth.
Devon Sarazin assisted on the goal, which came off a free hit.
Caitlin Bull stopped six shots for Falmouth. Bridget Fahey and Kaleigh Rose combined for six saves for Fryeburg.
KENNEBUNK 5, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Lindsey Gregoire and Grace Grenier each had a pair of goals as the Rams (9-2) easily got past the Capers (4-6) at Kennebunk.
Kylie DeFeo added a goal for Kennebunk.
Liv Kudas stopped four shots for the Rams. Kinnon McGrath turned aside 23 for Cape Elizabeth.
YARMOUTH 5, FREEPORT 0: Abby MacDowell had a goal and two assists as the Clippers (7-4) cruised to a win over the Falcons (5-4-1) at Yarmouth.
Ally MacLeod added two goals, Sophia McGrath had a goal and an assist, and Maggie Gunville also scored.
Megan Seymour made 11 saves for Freeport.
GREELY 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Maddy Perfetti scored with three minutes remaining to lift the Rangers (5-5) over the Patriots (0-9-1) in Cumberland.
Erin O’Donovan gave Greely a 1-0 lead 14:39 into the game off a set up from Perfetti. Cara Waltz responded for the Patriots, scoring off a pass from Skye Conley for a 1-1 halftime tie.
Alicia Credit made 10 saves for Gray-New Gloucester.
SACOPEE VALLEY 7, MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY/WAYNFLETE 0: Savannah Marlowe had four goals and an assist for the Hawks (5-6) as they rolled past Maine Girls’ Academy/Waynflete (0-8) at South Hiram.
Abby Mosson added a goal and four assists for Sacopee Valley, while Isabelle Eldridge and Tiffany Garland each chipped in a goal.
McKenzie Cormier made a pair of saves for the shutout.
OAK HILL 4, BOOTHBAY REGION 1: Erika Hannigan received assists from Abby Asselin on a pair of first-half goals as the Raiders (9-1) opened a 3-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Seahawks (2-4-1) at Boothbay.
Mercedes Pease closed the first-half scoring with 47 seconds left. Hayden Spencer scored for Oak Hill early in the second half.
Page Brown scored with five minutes remaining for Boothbay Region on a penalty corner, with assists from Chloe Arsenault and Sydney Meader.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
GORHAM 6, WESTBROOK 0: Alexis Fotter and Emma Forgues each scored two goals as the Rams (7-0-1) beat the Blue Blazes (0-7-1) in Westbrook.
Maddie Hincher scored early in the first half, and Erin Wentworth completed the scoring in the second half.
Nyagoa Bayak made 19 saves for Westbrook.
MARSHWOOD 5, BIDDEFORD 0: Hannah Fife had a goal and an assist, four others scored and the Hawks (6-1-1) handled the Tigers (0-8) at South Berwick.
Casey Perry had a first-half goal for Marshwood, while Natalie Herbold, Zoe Janetos and Marin Smith each scored in the second.
Nathalie Clavette and Olivia Melton split time in the net for the Hawks.
WINDHAM 4, DEERING 2: Holly Spencer scored two goals to lead the Eagles (5-0-3) over the Rams (3-5) at Portland.
Spencer scored five minutes into the game giving Windham a 1-0 lead. Maggie Lloyd set up Maggie Symonds for a score later in the half.
Lloyd scored off a pass from Emily Kent early in the second half, and Holly Spencer added her second goal of the game to complete the scoring for Windham.
Ewa Varney and Kiaya Gatchell scored for Deering.
PORTLAND 2, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Isabella and Annika More scored second-half goals, and the Bulldogs (5-1-2) held off the Red Riots (2-5-1) at Portland.
Isabella opened the scoring with an assist from Annika. Annika then made it 2-0 with an assist from Hayley Blanchard, who set up the play off a corner kick.
SANFORD 3, NOBLE 2: Vanessa Hodge scored her third goal of the game with 3:23 left in the second overtime to lift the Spartans (2-6) over the Knights (1-8) in North Berwick.
Hodge scored twice in the first half to give Sanford a 2-0 lead.
Noble rallied in the second. Meredith Podolec scored off a feed from Sammy Couture on a corner kick midway through the half. Amy Fleming tied the game with 5:49 left scoring off a pass from her sister, Kerri Fleming.
MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY 2, MASSABESIC 0: Claire Reid’s unassisted goal early in the second half sparked the Lions (2-5-1) in a win over the Mustangs (1-7) at Waterboro.
Ruth Reischmann scored an insurance goal off a corner kick by Serena Mower.
Carly Beaulieu stopped seven shots for the shutout.
VOLLEYBALL
CHEVERUS 3, LAKE REGION 0: Emily Haley had eight aces and five digs to lead the Stags (5-4) in a sweep of the Lakers (1-6) at Naples.
Alexis Parson added four kills for Cheverus, which won 25-16, 25-14, 25-23.
