Rain in Boston has forced postponement of Game 3 of the American League Division Series between the Red Sox and Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

Game 3 now will be played at 6:08 p.m. Monday at Fenway Park. The Indians lead the best-of-five series two games to none.

Both managers said they will stick with their scheduled starter when the Indians try to sweep Boston out of the playoffs. That means Josh Tomlin would pitch for Cleveland against Boston’s Clay Buchholz.

Game 4, if necessary, would be played Tuesday in Boston. There would be no travel day for the teams if Game 5 is needed in Cleveland on Wednesday.

Major League Baseball made the decision to postpone Sunday’s game at about 1:50 p.m. after consulting weather forecasts for the rest of the day. Sunday’s game had been scheduled for 4:08 p.m.

Tickets for Sunday’s game will be honored on Monday.
