YARMOUTH — Andrea St. Pierre served 10 consecutive service points in the second set Thursday night as sixth-seeded Yarmouth swept into the Class A volleyball quarterfinals with a straight-set victory against 11th-ranked Windham.

The Clippers (11-4) will be at third-seeded Biddeford in the quarterfinals Saturday.

Alison Clark had 22 kills for Yarmouth, St. Pierre added four aces and Marie LeBlanc had four kills in a 25-22, 25-14, 25-18 victory.

Sammie Gosselin had 12 digs and Cassie Fleck added seven kills for Windham (7-8).

MOUNT DESERT ISLAND 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: The fifth-seeded Trojans (10-5) won the deciding fifth set 15-7 to defeat the 12th-seeded Capers (8-7) in a Class A prelim at Bar Harbor.

Barbara Dolan had five consecutive service points in the third set for Cape Elizabeth, which dropped the first two sets, 19-25, 25-27, and recovered to take the next two sets, 25-18, 25-14.

The Trojans will next meet fourth-seeded Falmouth on Saturday in a quarterfinal.
