RALEIGH, N.C. — Brandon Manning scored the tiebreaking short-handed goal early in the third period to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.

Claude Giroux had a goal and an assist, giving him points in a league-high nine straight games. Shayne Gostisbehere and Radko Gudas also scored for the Flyers.

Wayne Simmonds had two assists, and Michal Neuvirth stopped 26 shots.

Jeff Skinner had a goal and an assist for Carolina, and Justin Faulk and Viktor Stalberg also scored.

PANTHERS 5, RED WINGS 2: Colton Sceviour scored three goals – one at even strength, one on the power play and one short-handed – and added an assist to lead Florida to a win in Detroit.

SABRES 3, JETS 1: Kyle Okposo scored twice to lead Buffalo to a win over Winnipeg, following a shutout at home Saturday.

ISLANDERS 5, MAPLE LEAFS 1: Brock Nelson and Shane Prince each had a goal and an assist, Thomas Greiss stopped 33 shots, and New York won at home.

BLACKHAWKS 3, KINGS 0: Corey Crawford made 32 saves, Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa each had a power-play goal and host Chicago beat Los Angeles.

RANGERS 6, LIGHTNING 1: Michael Grabner scored three goals to lead New York to a victory over Tampa Bay in New York.
