Emily Ingwersen, a Democrat from Arundel, is running to unseat Rep. Wayne Parry, R-Arundel, in House District 10.

The district includes Arundel, Dayton and part of Lyman.

Ingwersen did not respond to requests for information about her and her positions on key issues.

Parry, 53, is a lobsterman in his third term as a state representative.

In his responses to a Portland Press Herald survey, Parry said he brings common sense to the office as a lobsterman and small-business owner. He also said he opposes referendum proposals to expand background checks for gun purchases and raise the state’s minimum wage to $12 an hour by 2020, which he says would be a job killer. He also said he is leaning against the legalization of recreational marijuana use because it would send the wrong message to young people.
