RICHMOND — Destiny Anair scored in the first half and Meranda Martin in the second as top-ranked Richmond defeated sixth-seeded Searsport 2-0 to win the Class D South girls’ soccer title Wednesday.

The Bobcats (15-1) will meet Ashland (17-0) at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland for the state title.

The Bobcats put 32 shots on goal to one for Searsport (7-10).

WATERVILLE 1, HERMON 0: Freshman Sadie Garling scored an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute and second-seeded Waterville (17-0) held on over a chaotic final few minutes to defeat the top-ranked Hawks (16-1) in the Class B North final at Hermon.

The Purple Panthers will take on Yarmouth (15-1-1) in the state final at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hampden.

CAMDEN HILLS 3, BANGOR 2: Izzy Gutheinz scored the winning goal with 3:10 left for the second-seeded Windjammers (16-1), who scored twice in the final four minutes to rally past the top-ranked Rams (16-1) and end their 27-game unbeaten streak, in the Class A North final at Bangor.

Camden Hills will meet Gorham (16-0-1) in the state final at 3 p.m. Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

BOYS’ SOCCER

BANGOR 3, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Garth Berenyi scored from Tom Szewczyk with 25:07 left in the first half and the second-seeded Rams (15-1-1) held off the fifth-ranked Windjammers (11-5-1) in the Class A North final at Bangor.

Bangor will meet Gorham (16-0-1) in the state final at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

WINSLOW 3, JOHN BAPST 1: Jake Warn scored a pair of first-half goals and second-seeded Winslow (16-0-1) defeated top-ranked John Bapst (15-2) in the Class B North final at Orono.

Winslow will play Yarmouth (14-2-1) for the state championship Saturday at Hampden.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 1, LISBON 0: The top-ranked Mustangs (14-1-2) scored on an own goal in the first half and made it stand up to defeat third-seeded Lisbon (10-4-3) in the Class C South final at Monmouth.

A little under 31 minutes remained in the first half when Hunter Richardson heaved the ball in from the sideline, Travis Hartford got in front of the Lisbon keeper to provide the screen, then leaped to make a play on the ball.

He missed but the ball sailed through, hit off a defender and went in for an own goal.

Monmouth will meet Washington Academy (18-0) in the state final.

GREENVILLE 2, RICHMOND 1: Trajdan MacFadyen scored in the second round of penalty kicks to lift the sixth-seeded Lakers (11-5-1) over the top-ranked Bobcats (15-2) in the Class D South final at Richmond.

Greenville will face Bangor Christian (17-0) for the state title Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

Greenville got a first-half goal from Ben Baldwin. Matt Holt countered in the second. After two overtimes, the teams went to penalty kicks that lasted through two rounds of five.
