Featured Fly Tier Tim Deignan will teach the Grey Ghost Fly Tyers how to tie the unique pattern in Marabou Streamers. According to fly tying coach Rod McGarry, the Marabou is one of the most beautiful and useful natural materials available to fly tiers. Meet at the First Parish Congregational Church.

Youth Nordic ski rentals, Dec. 3 in Damariscotta

The Midcoast Conservancy is partnering with the Outdoor Sports Institute to lease cross-country ski equipment for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Students can try on skis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the YMCA. The lease package costs $65. Youth ski clinics also will be held this winter by the conservancy.
