Jessie Tirrell
A Union man was arrested overnight on charges that he assaulted his girlfriend and her two young children.
Maine State Police arrested 27-year-old Jessie Tirrell on two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of domestic violence assault and unlawful sexual contact. The assaults took place at the home Tirrell shares with his girlfriend on Searsmont Road, police said.
Detectives were called after an 18-month-old girl was taken Thursday night to PenBay Medical Center with a broken arm. As detectives were investigating the incident, they discovered the child’s 5-year-old sister and their mother also had been assaulted.
Tirrell is being held at the Knox County Jail.
