One of the very first things the new administration will do, and can do, is overturn some of the regulations put in place under President Obama. One of these is the overtime rule.

This law mandates that workers who make less than $47,476 per year are entitled to time and a half if they work over 40 hours a week. There must be quite a few of those workers in that range.

Given the fact that the new Congress has 60 legislative days to decide, and given the fact of Speaker Paul Ryan’s pledge to rid us of this law immediately, we should expect to see it never be enacted.

I wonder how people in that income range voted for Donald Trump.
