I am a 70-year-old woman who has read your newspaper for many years, and I have to tell you how appalled I am at the writings of your newspaper regarding President-elect Donald Trump.
You have been very negative in your writings and not having any respect for our president-elect. In doing this, you are adding more fuel to the fire and making America more divided, instead of making it united.
Why don’t you write about how weak our young adults are today, having to have therapy days and counselors brought in to console them because they didn’t get the president they wanted?
I find this to be deplorable. The younger people today are very spoiled and are used to getting things they want. We baby boomers were mostly brought up to respect our president, whether you liked him or not.
What has happened to our media, heads of religious groups, professors and teachers, who have the capacity to tell our American people to accept the things we cannot change and change the things we can? It seems to me that these categoies of careers are not doing their jobs.
When one does not respect our American flag and our government, then they should move to another country.
I hope and pray that the American people will be united instead of divided. This newspaper could help to do this!
