The Cape Elizabeth Town Council has narrowed its list of finalists for town manager, including its current tax assessor.
Ephrem Paraschak, the town manager of Naples, and Matthew Sturgis, Cape Elizabeth’s current tax assessor, are the final two candidates for the position.
Both candidates will be in Cape Elizabeth on Jan. 3 and 4 for the second part of the interview process.
The public is invited to an informal gathering from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 3 at Thomas Memorial Library to meet both candidates.
That afternoon, each candidate will meet with the town department heads and the superintendent of schools.
On Jan. 4, each candidate will have a second interview with the Town Council.
The council expects to make its decision the following week, with a starting date the same week.
