A man wanted by Sabattus police for domestic violence and other charges turned himself into police Thursday morning.
Police were looking for 34-year-old Scott Albert of Sabattus following a daylong standoff at a home on Kristy Lane. Police said Albert was considered armed and dangerous.

An arrest warrant for Albert charges him with domestic violence assault, domestic violence reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Albert turned himself in at the Androscoggin County Jail just after 7 a.m. Thursday.
Police were called to the home on Kristy Lane around 9:55 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a domestic violence assault. Police said the victim told them Albert had assault her Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
Police were told Albert had a handgun and access to several weapons. Police were not able to reach him by phone and called for backup from the Maine State Police Tactical Team and for a state police crisis negotiator to help with the situation.
The tactical team went into the home around 7:30 p.m., but Albert was not inside.
Police Chief Gary Baillargeon had urged Albert to turn himself in. Baillargeon said in a Facebook post Thursday morning that he is “extremely pleased” with the outcome because it ensures the safety of Sabattus residents, police and Albert.
