A Lewiston man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for accessing child pornography.

Douglas Blodgett, 46, was also sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Portland to 10 years of supervised released and ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to the child depicted in several of the child pornography images he accessed.

Blodgett was accused of accessing Internet Relay Chat channels and chatrooms containing child pornography images. Investigators from U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s Homeland Security unit found internet addresses containing child pornography images after they executed a search warrant on Blodgett’s computer and home. Investigators also said that Blodgett admitted that he had accessed chatrooms containing child pornography.
