Jill Joyce and Catherine Reid combined for 24 points after halftime Tuesday night, sending Maine Girls’ Academy to a 46-41 overtime victory against previously unbeaten Marshwood in an SMAA girls’ basketball game.

Reid finished with 17 points to go with seven rebounds and eight steals for the Lions (3-5), who trailed 21-11 at halftime. Joyce finished with 13 points.

Courtney Thim led the Hawks (8-1) with 10 points. Kara Anderson added eight, hitting two 3-pointers.

DEERING 56, WINDHAM 30: Delaney Haines scored 16 of her game-high 19 points in the second half, when the Rams (6-2) held the Eagles (2-6) to eight points at Windham.

Tasia Titherington had 13 points for Deering, Abi Ramirez tossed in nine and Victoria Garand chipped in with seven.

Mya Mannette led Windham with 11 points.

DIRIGO 33, CARRABEC 19: Olivia Noyes had 10 points and seven rebounds as the Cougars (3-6) beat the Cobras (2-7) at North Anson.

Kaicey Conant had seven points and grabbed five boards for Dirigo.

BONNY EAGLE 58, MASSABESIC 29: Samantha Averill and Deirdre Sanborn combined for 16 points in the second quarter as the Scots used a 25-11 run to open a 38-16 lead against the Mustangs (0-8) at Standish.

Sanborn finished with a game-high 15 points. Averill added 10.

McKenzy Ouellette led Massabesic with 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 52, MEDOMAK VALLEY 48: The Eagles (4-4) hit 10 of 14 free throws in the final period and held off the Panthers (2-8) at Newcastle.

Brie Wajer had 22 points, five steals, four rebounds and three assists for Lincoln Academy, which led 26-21 at halftime,

Medomak Valley used a 15-10 run in the third quarter to make it 36-36.

Gabrielle DePatsy led the Panthers with 15 points. Sadie Cohen tossed in nine.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 53, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 25: The Patriots (9-0) used a 24-6 run in the second half to put away the Raiders (5-4) at Fryeburg.

Isabelle DeTroy led the Patriots with 13 points, Alicia Dumont scored 11 and Brianna Jordan added 10.

Mackenzie Buzzell scored 10 for Fryeburg.

BRUNSWICK 60, CAMDEN HILLS 39: Trailing 12-9 after the first quarter, the Dragons (8-2) went on a 23-8 run in the second, when Madeline Suhr scored 15 of her game-high 21 points, to defeat the Windjammers (4-4) at Brunswick.

Suhr also grabbed 10 boards with six steals and five blocks. Charlotte MacMillan tossed in 12 points.

Kassandra Krul led Camden Hills with 10 points.

SANFORD 50, NOBLE 38: Summer Camire connected on five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to help the Spartans (5-5) overcome the Knights (0-8) at North Berwick.

Julia Allen added 15 points for Sanford, which trailed 32-28 through three quarters before winning with a 22-6 run in the fourth.

Amy Fleming led the Knights with 15 points, hitting three 3-pointers.

MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 43, OCEANSIDE 40: The Huskies (6-3) overcame a 24-17 halftime deficit to defeat Oceanside (4-4) at Pittsfield.

Christa Carr, April McAlpine and Dee Urena each scored 10 points to lead the Huskies. Gabby Simmons led the Mariners with 17.

BOOTHBAY REGION 50, HALL-DALE 22: Page Brown scored 22 points to lead the Seahawks (10-0) past Hall-Dale (0-10) at Farimgdale.

Elle Dekker scored eight points, and Sabrina Freeman added six points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 62, BUCKFIELD 30: Sydney Plummer scored 20 points to lead the Panthers (4-4) over the Bucks (2-6) at Buckfield.

Margaret Larson, who hit three 3-pointers, added 19 points for the Panthers, who led 33-17 at halftime.

Hannah Shields led the Bucks with 12 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 46, TRAIP ACADEMY 32: Samantha Donnell scored 13 points, hitting four 3-pointers, as the Seagulls (4-3) downed the Rangers (3-5) at Old Orchard Beach.

Emily Greenlee and Brianna Plante each scored nine points for the Seagulls, who led 29-22 after three quarters. Greenlee added six steals and Plante dished out four assists. Cassidy Delano scored 12 points to lead Traip.

GORHAM 60, THORNTON ACADEMY 52: Mackenzie Holmes scored six of her game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter as the Rams (8-0) pulled away from the Golden Trojans (5-4) at Saco.

The score was 45-45 after three quarters before Gorham won with a 15-7 run in the fourth.

Alisha Aube had 25 points for Thornton, including four 3-pointers. Alexandra Hart added 11 points.

Emily Esposito tossed in 16 points for the Rams.

GARDINER 58, LEAVITT 31: Mikayla Bourassa had 13 points and six rebounds for the Tigers (6-2), who used a 13-4 run in the second quarter to pull away from the Hornets (4-6) at Turner.

WESTBROOK 50, BIDDEFORD 41: Julia Symbol scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Blue Blazes (3-6) downed the Tigers (1-8) at Biddeford.

Mikayla VanZandt added 12 points for Westbrook, including 4 of 4 from the free-throw line, and Julia Martel had 10 points.

Grace Martin scored a game-high 23 points for Biddeford.

YORK 46, CAPE ELIZABETH 27: Alana Lauersen and Nina Howe each had eight points to pace a balanced offense for the Wildcats (6-3), who opened a 12-7 first-quarter lead and steadily pulled away from the Capers (0-8) at Cape Elizabeth.

Erin O’Rourke had 12 points for Cape Elizabeth, including a pair of 3-pointers.

HOCKEY

FALMOUTH 3, YORK/TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Reade Carmichael scored in overtime to lift the Yachtsmen (10-2) over the Wildcats (6-5) at Falmouth.

York led 2-0 when Erin O’Donnell and Grace Campbell scored in the first seven minutes.

Abigail Lebel scored on a power-play four minutes into the second period, and Falmouth tied it when Stone Carmichael scored for Falmouth with 1:14 remaning in the second.

Carmichael’s overtime goal came at 7:51 from Evelyn Clement and Devon Sarazin.

Sophia Stevens recorded 17 saves for York. Alexandra Hurdman stopped 27 shots for Falmouth.
