I spent two hours outside Sen. Susan Collins’ Portland office in the frigid cold Monday, along with about 150 other Mainers ranging in age from 4 to 80, protesting President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Scott Pruitt as head of the Environmental Protection Agency. Yet you failed to cover this, instead writing about the handful of people who rallied briefly outside in Augusta.

All you published about the Portland protest is this, from an article by Jessica Lowell of the Kennebec Journal: “In a separate event, more than 100 protesters were expected to gather at Collins’ Portland office.”

I am so disappointed in you. Many Mainers are outraged at Trump’s Cabinet choices, and your coverage of a smallish demonstration in Augusta while ignoring a much bigger one in Portland is not fair to the public and minimizes Maine’s opposition to Pruitt, a hideous choice to run the EPA.
