KITTERY — Cameren Cousins scored 18 points Friday night to lead Wells to a 62-43 victory against Traip Academy in a Western Maine Conference boys’ basketball game.

Trailing 15-14 after the first quarter, Wells (6-3) outscored Traip 21-9 in the second. Tyler Bridge and DeAndre Woods each added 12 points for the Warriors.

Angelo Succi led the Rangers (3-7) with 12 points. Dalen Hubbard added eight, hitting two 3-pointers.

TEMPLE 53, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 24: Brad Smith scored 23 points to lead Temple (6-4) over Highview Christian (1-9) at Waterville.

Micah Riportella added seven points for the Bereans.

FOREST HILLS 81, NORTH HAVEN 45: Parker Desjardins scored 18 points to lead the Tigers (5-5) over North Haven (0-6) at Jackman.

Carson Veilleux scored 12 points and Dalton Gregoire added 10 for Forest Hills.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

GORHAM 80, BONNY EAGLE 42: Emily Esposito scored 30 points with three 3-pointers to lead the Rams (10-0) over the Scots (4-5) at Gorham.

Gorham took a 24-8 lead in the first quarter and was ahead 49-20 at the half. Mackenzie Holmes added 16 points.

Samantha Averill and Mackenzie Emery each scored 10 points for Bonny Eagle.

RANGELEY 57, BUCKFIELD 23: Natasha Haley had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lakers (8-2) over the Bucks (2-8) at Buckfield.

Sydney Royce had 17 points and nine rebounds for Rangeley.

THURSDAY’S BOYS’ BASKETBALL

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 65, A.R. GOULD 41: Jake Malcom scored 15 of his 22 points in the first half as the Panthers (5-4) opened a 34-12 lead and beat the Bears (7-2) at Yarmouth.

Te’Andre King paced NYA with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Malcom added nine rebounds.

Issak Aliyow led A.R. Gould with 21 points, including five 3-pointers.
