The Nor’easters also received a goal apiece from Christian Rossetti, Trevor Fleurent, Blaise Healy, Ryan Burr and Chris Harlow.

Dmitris Jones tied a school single-game record with four assists, while Christian Merritt had three.

The Nor’easters also established a school record with 68 shots while facing three Becker goaltenders.

(12) OHIO STATE 98, (2) MARYLAND 87: Kelsey Mitchell scored 31 points, and Ohio State (24-5, 14-1 Big Ten got off to a sizzling start in an upset of the Terrapins (26-2, 14-1) at Columbus, Ohio.

POLL: UConn survived one of the toughest tests of its winning streak to remain No. 1. The Huskies narrowly edged Tulane on Saturday, five days after beating No. 6 South Carolina for their 100th consecutive victory.

MEN’s basketball

(19) FLORIDA STATE 104, BOSTON COLLEGE 72: Dwayne Bacon had 16 points and 13 Florida State players had at least four points, helping the host Seminoles bounce back from two straight losses.

MIAMI 54, (18) VIRGINIA 48: Bruce Brown made a 3-pointer with 24 seconds left in overtime, handing the host Cavaliers their fourth straight loss.

POLL: For the third straight week, Gonzaga, Villanova and Kansas are the top three ranked teams. It is the fourth week at No. 1 for Gonzaga (28-0), the only unbeaten team in Division I.
