Police in Rochester, New Hampshire, say a Maine woman was the driver in an accident Monday that put three pedestrians in the hospital.

Dawn Sandler, 48, of South Berwick was driving the Chevrolet Cobalt that hit the pedestrians around 8:10 p.m. Monday on Rochester Hill Road, in the area of the Hi Vu Motor Inn, said the Rochester Police Department in a press release.

“No arrest has been made yet, and this case remains an active investigation,” Police Chief Paul R. Toussaint said in the press release issued Wednesday. He did not provide details.

“The pedestrians were found lying in the road with severe injuries” and the driver involved in the crash fled, police said in the press release.

One of the victims, Alexander Solivan, 34, of Lawrence, Mass., remained in critical condition Wednesday night at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Amanda Demers, 28, of Rochester was being treated at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Eleanore Farrell, 26, of Rochester was treated and released from Portsmouth Regional.
