A Windham man was having a particularly bad day recently when he saw something that lifted his spirits: An image that reminded him of the face of Jesus in his toast.

George Maley’s son, Andrew, told WCSH6 TV, “I thought (dad) was lying. I thought it was completely fake, and then he showed me and my mind was blown.”

George Maley said the experience helped him when he was missing loved ones who have passed away.

From time to time, reports emerge of people discerning a holy image in everyday objects. Images that remind people of Jesus have been found in wood grain, in mold, in naan bread, on a windshield and even in a bruise.
