A Presque Isle man was sentenced to just over six years in prison for conspiring to distribute bath salts.

U.S. District Judge John A. Woodcock Jr. in Bangor on Tuesday also sentenced Nathan Brewer, 35, to three years of supervised release once his 73-month prison term is completed.

Brewer pleaded guilty in January 2105.

Court records indicated that Brewer raised money from other conspirators in order to get a bulk discount on the bath salts, which were bought online from an overseas source and then re-sold in Aroostook County.
