A Gorham man has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine for possession of child pornography.

Steven Tutt, 46, was also sentenced to five years of supervised release after he completes his prison term, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Tutt was sentenced Friday in federal court in Bangor by U.S. District Chief Judge Nancy Torresen.

Law enforcement agents were able to download a child pornography video from Tutt’s home computer and found additional videos after getting a search warrant for his computer. According to court records, Tutt admitted to agents that he had downloaded child pornography.

He pleaded guilty on Nov. 29.
