NEW HIRES
Colleen Hilton, R.N., was named president of Rosscare, EMHS’ not-for-profit company that oversees the Rosscare Nursing Homes.
Hilton is currently an EMHS senior vice president and president of the system’s VNA Home Health Hospice.
Hilton has served in administrative capacities for the past 15 years. She was the first woman elected as mayor of Westbrook and served three terms from 2009 to 2016. Hilton was recognized in 2016 by the HomeCare and Hospice Alliance of Maine with a Distinguished Service award.

Zachary Mueller, D.O., joined the staff at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Mueller completed his internal medicine residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

 

 

Jennifer Flynn, N.P., has joined the staff at Central Maine Pediatrics in Lewiston.
Flynn completed her pediatric clinical training at Central Maine Pediatrics.

 

 

Rodney Mayhorn, M.D., recently joined the Rockport office of Maine Medical Partners-MaineHealth Cardiology.
Mayhorn specializes in noninvasive cardiology including nuclear imaging and echocardiography. He was previously with Heart First Cardiology in Waterville.

Katherine Liu, M.D., also joined Maine Medical Partners – Hospital Medicine.
Liu will work as a hospitalist at Maine Medical Center. She recently completed residency at MMC, through its internal medicine and pediatrics combined program.

 

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Carey S. Clark, an associate professor of nursing at University of Maine at Augusta, was recently elected to president elect of the American Cannabis Nurses Association.

RECOGNITIONS
Maine Coast Memorial Hospital was recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid with a five-star rating.
The hospital received the rating for the most recent period of measures, which were released in late December. It was one of only 112 hospitals in the U.S. to earn a five-star overall hospital quality rating, and the only hospital in Maine to reach this benchmark for the period.
