A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle after license suspension following a crash and foot chase Friday night in Portland.
Lt. Bob Doherty said a police officer spotted a car crashing into a parked vehicle at 10 p.m. on Cumberland Avenue and saw a male running away from the scene.
Officer Zach Finley and a police search dog, Mako, were called to the scene and tracked the male to Monroe Court, where Officer Ben Savage spotted him driving off in another vehicle, according to Doherty.
The minor was stopped and arrested, and later turned over to his parents. The incident remains under investigation.
The teen’s name is being withheld because he is a minor, police said.
