BRUNSWICK — Brett Kujala scored six goals Wednesday night to lead Bowdoin to a 19-15 victory against Tufts in a New England Small College Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse regular-season finale.

The Polar Bears (10-5, 7-3) will meet Tufts (11-4, 6-4) again at home at 1 p.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.

Kujala scored five goals in the second half, helping Bowdoin pull away after Tufts made it 10-10 with consecutive goals to start the third quarter.

Matthew Crowell added four goals for Bowdoin.

PLYMOUTH STATE 13, SOUTHERN MAINE 7: Nine players scored for the Panthers (8-6, 4-2 Little East) against the Huskies (6-8, 3-3) at Plymouth, New Hampshire.

Paul Leonardo led the Huskies with five goals.

ST. JOSEPH’S 17, THOMAS 2: Michael Finn and Tyler Retalic each scored four goals for the Monks (5-8, 3-4 Great Northeast Athletic), who took a 10-0 lead and beat the Terriers (3-8, 2-5) at Portland.

Mark LaPierre added three goals, and Joe O’Reilly had two goals and five assists for the Monks, who led 15-1 at halftime. Colby Blondin scored both goals for Thomas.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

COLBY 12, BATES 9: Kendall Smith scored six goals, including three straight to open the second half, as the sixth-ranked Mules (12-3, 8-2 NESCAC) beat Bates (7-8, 2-8) at Waterville.

TUFTS 13, BOWDOIN 12: Emily Games scored four goals and the Jumbos (10-5, 5-5 NESCAC) fended off a second-half rally by the Polar Bears (10-5, 5-5) at Medford, Massachusetts.

Allison Williams had seven goals for Bowdoin, which trailed 13-7 with 8:01 left.

BASEBALL

HUSSON 6, BOWDOIN 5: Sam Huston hit a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth to lift the Eagles (21-14) over the Polar Bears (12-15) at Bangor.
