Peyton McKeown had five goals and an assist Tuesday to lead Biddeford to a 14-12 victory against Maine Girls’ Academy in a girls’ lacrosse game.

Paige Laverriere added four goals and two assists for Biddeford (4-0). Catherine Reid scored eight goals and Zoe Mazur added three for Maine Girls’ Academy (1-3).

THORNTON ACADEMY 11, GORHAM 6: Paige LeBlanc scored three goals to lead the Trojans (3-1) over the Rams (1-3) at Gorham.

Catherine Henaire, Amanda Cyr and Mackenzie Basile each had two goals, and Dana Sirois finished with four saves for Thornton.

Bridget Rossignol and Marina Pappalardo each scored twice, and Paige Hume had 11 saves for Gorham.

LAKE REGION 13, ST. DOMINIC 9: Lindsey Keenan scored six goals and Rachel Shanks added four as the Lakers (2-0) beat the Saints (1-2) at Naples.

Lauren Jakobs added two goals for Lake Region, which led 8-5 at halftime. Caroline Gastonguay scored seven goals for the Saints.

MARSHWOOD 17, SOUTH PORTLAND 6: Hannah Costin scored seven goals for the Hawks (2-2), who led 12-4 at the half and defeated the Red Riots (1-3) at South Portland.

Reagan Nichols recorded four goals, Luciana Albers had three goals and two assists, and Skyler Amsden made nine saves for Marshwood.

Jena Leckie scored and Maya Ellington had three saves for South Portland.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 14, CAMDEN HILLS 5: Audrey Jordan scored four goals, and Ellen Johnson added a goal and three assists as the Eagles (2-2) stopped the Windjammers (0-3) at Camden.

Jordan Linscott and Catherine Silva each scored twice for Erskine. Ashlyn Wing made 14 saves.

Sophie Ernst stopped 23 shots for Camden Hills.

MESSALONSKEE 16, EDWARD LITTLE 8: Lauren Pickett scored six goals and assisted on two others as the Eagles (4-0) defeated the Red Eddies (0-2) at Oakland.

Kaitlyn Smith and Ally Turner each added three goals for Messalonskee.Lydia Dexter had two goals and two assists.

Megan Steele scored four goals for Edward Little.

GARDINER/HALL-DALE 12, CONY 7: Hailee Lovely scored three goals, one of the seven players to score for the Tigers (1-0) against Cony (2-1) at Kents Hill.

Claire Crocker, Evelyn Hinkley and Skye Lavoie scored twice for Gardiner. Julia Hinkley made 16 saves.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

SCARBOROUGH 18, THORNTON ACADEMY 17: Marc Guerette scored 1:30 into overtime to lift the Red Storm (3-2) over the Golden Trojans (3-1) at Saco.

Sam Neugebauer led Scarborough with eight goals, including a score with 36 seconds remaining in regulation to make it 17-17. Guerette finished with five goals and Dominic Joy recorded 11 saves.

Jon Giroux had six goals and Noah Edborg finished with five for Thornton. Ean Patry made six saves.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, CHEVERUS 4: John Cooper Mehlhorn scored five goals as the Red Riots (4-1) beat the Stags (2-2) at Portland.

David Fiorini added three goals and Brandon Gagne scored two for the Red Riots, who led 4-2 at halftime. Four players scored for Cheverus.

SOFTBALL

WELLS 7, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Olivia Durfee hit a three-run homer during a five-run third inning as the Warriors (5-0) downed the Capers (2-3) at Cape Elizabeth.

Karissa Kenyon picked up the win, striking out five in four innings. Samantha Bogue tripled for Wells. Jessica Robicheaw struck out six for Cape Elizabeth.

BASEBALL

WELLS 2, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Ryan Sousa threw a two-hit shutout with four strikeouts for the Warriors (4-2), who scored two runs in the sixth inning to beat the Capers (3-3) at Cape Elizabeth.

Matt Tufts and Gary Andrews had RBI singles in the sixth.

Marshall Peterson of Cape Elizabeth allowed two runs on five hits, striking out four.
