The Ladies’ Society of the First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport will hold its annual Garden Day & Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 141 North St. The church’s cookbook will be available for purchase.

Rotary club will offer free electronics recycling
Saco Bay Rotary Club, Waste Recycling Solutions and the city will sponsor a free electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Saco Public Works facility, 351 North St.
Household electronics such as televisions, DVD players, VCRs and radios are accepted. No large appliances or items containing mercury.

Outdoor performance looks at Prohibition era
The Deering Players of Deering High School will present an outdoor play portraying life in the era of “Temperance, Prohibition and the Rum Riot” at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Eastern Cemetery, 224 Congress St.

Used-book sale benefits effort to care for feral cats
Friends of Feral Felines will hold its annual used-book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Barron Center, 1145 Brighton Ave.
The sale helps support the group’s efforts to control and care for feral and abandoned cats in southern Maine.
