I’m delighted to be paying more for parking in downtown Portland if the city plans to use the money to replace the dumb lights at many intersections with smart ones. Currently, at other than busy traffic times, single cars wait as long as two minutes for red lights to change while no cars pass through lengthy green segments.
Examples of dumb light intersections will be made available upon request.
