BOWIE, Md. — Jeremy Barfield hit his 22nd home run of the season and drove in two runs to lead the Portland Sea Dogs to a 4-2 win Saturday night over the Bowie Baysox.

Barfield homered in the second inning, and drove in a run with a groundout in the fourth.

Danny Mars added an RBI single in the seventh after a triple by Diener Lopez, and Lopez hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

Henry Owens (3-3) picked up the win, allowing one hit and one earned run with four strikeouts in five innings before a long rain delay ended his outing. Bobby Poyner struck out two in the ninth to earn his seventh save in seven chances.

Portland’s Ryan Flaherty, making another rehab appearance for Bowie, was 0 for 1 and scored a run after getting hit by a pitch.
