NAPLES — Paige Davis scored 30 seconds into overtime Thursday to give Lake Region a 1-0 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference field hockey opener.

Arianna Hoot recorded four saves for Lake Region.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Emi Logue scored twice to lead the Capers in an opener at Gray.

Isabel Berman also scored and Kaitlin Norrad had an assist. Haley McIntyre stopped three shots.

Alicia Credit recorded 11 saves for Gray-New Gloucester.

YORK 9, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Sydney Bouchard had four goals and one assist as the Wildcats won an opener at Yarmouth.

Jessa Smith added two goals and two assists for York, which led 5-0 at halftime.

Eliza Todd stopped 19 shots for NYA.

ST. DOMINIC 13, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Hannah Braun scored five goals and Callie Samson had seven assists as the Saints won an opener at Kittery.

Carol Johnson and Paige Cote each added two goals.

Nicole Roberts stopped 15 shots for the Rangers.

MASSABESIC 8, NOBLE 0: Camryn Champlin had a goal and three assists to lead the Mustangs at North Berwick.

Logan Champlin and Emma Rutledge both scored twice. Anna Snyder added a goal and an assist.

Noble goalie Kaylee Mayotte finished with 27 saves.

FREEPORT 1, GREELY 1: Kerry Lefebvre scored from Natalie Anderson for Freeport and Maddy Perfetti answered for Greely in an opener at Cumberland.

Katelyn Rouleau had 10 saves for Freeport and Kylie Rogers made six saves for Greely.

SKOWHEGAN 10, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 0: Alexis Michonski had three goals to pace Skowhegan in an opener at Hampden.

Maliea Kelso added two goals and two assists, and Hannah McKenny, Bhreagh Kennedy, Lizzy York, Brooklyn Hubbard and Julia Steeves also scored.

Taylor Guerrette made 10 saves for Hampden.

YARMOUTH 2, POLAND 1: Lydia Guay scored the go-ahead goal from Cate Ralph with 22:29 remaining as the Clippers won an opener at Yarmouth.

Yarmouth took a 1-0 lead with 18:25 to go in the first half on a goal by Kirsten Thomas off a rebound from an Emelie Martin shot.

Brianna Doucette tied it with 2:30 left in the half with an unassisted goal.

Ashton Sturtevant made 12 saves for Poland. Cayte Tillotson stopped five shots for Yarmouth.

SACOPEE VALLEY 3, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Savanna Marlowe had a goal and an assist to lead the Hawks in an opener at Old Orchard Beach.

Tika Eastman and Isabelle Eldridge also scored, and Haiden Sawyer recorded two assists.

Leah Green stopped seven shots for Old Orchard Beach.

BOYS’ SOCCER

PORTLAND 3, MASSABESIC 0: Quinn Clarke scored twice and the Bulldogs allowed one shot in an opener at Portland.

Clarke opened the scoring in the fourth minute, then recorded his second goal with 18:33 remaining in the game. Tahn Tiparos made it 3-0 with 7:53 left.

Joshua Castonguay had 14 saves for Massabesic.
