Bella Booth scored 51 seconds into the second overtime and Cheverus rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to beat previously undefeated Scarborough 3-2 in a Class A South field hockey game Thursday afternoon.

Lauren Topchik opened the scoring for Scarborough (11-1) with 17 minutes left in the first half, then added another goal six minutes later.

Lucia Pompeo put Cheverus (9-3) on the board 10 minutes into the second half, and Sophia Pompeo tied it with 1:47 remaining in regulation.

Kathryn Kane made nine saves for Cheverus. Samantha Carriero stopped six shots for Scarborough.

MASSABESIC 2, WESTBROOK 1: Camryn Champlin broke a 1-1 tie 3:22 into in the second half as the Mustangs (11-1) edged the Blue Blazes (9-3) in Waterboro.

Alexis Witham put Westbrook ahead 13:15 into the game with an assist from Morgan LeBeau. Sarah Storehouse flicked in an Emma Rutledge pass for the equalizer with 1:23 left in the half.

Maddy Pomerleau stopped 11 shots for Massabesic, while Kimmy Goddard made eight saves for the Blue Blazes.

KENNEBUNK 5, MARSHWOOD 0: Christine Jarowicz scored in each half to pace the Rams (9-3) to a win over the Hawks (7-5) in Kennebunk.

Kaylee Gregoire scored the first goal, then teamed up with Britney Gregoire to set up Jarowicz’s first goal for a 2-0 halftime lead.

Caitlin Whalen and Britney Gregoire each added a second-half goal.

Haley Moody made two saves for Kennebunk. Sarah Arenburg stopped 11 shots for Marshwood.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, GORHAM 1: Taylor Ouellette recorded a pair of second-half goals to lead the Golden Trojans (8-4) past the Rams (5-7) in Gorham.

Lily Stark scored 13:47 into the game to give Thornton a 1-0 lead.

Faith Dillon got Gorham’s goal late in the second half.

Janice Botting made two saves for the Trojans, while Gorham goalie Jessica Dusseault stopped eight shots.

DEERING 2, WINDHAM 0: The Rams (2-9-1) got first-half goals from Donna Thach and Rebekah Dunn to defeat the Eagles (0-11-1) at Windham.

Thach put in the rebound of her own shot early in the game, and Dunn scored off a scramble in front of the goal.

Maddalena Lapomarda stopped 10 shots for the shutout. Grace Sawyer made 11 saves for Windham.

BIDDEFORD 5, PORTLAND 0: Peyton McKeown scored twice to lead the Tigers (9-2) past the Bulldogs (0-11-1) in Biddeford.

Biddeford jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half on goals by Paige Laverriere, Abby Allen, Katie Monson and McKeown. Laverriere and Allen each recorded an assist.

Hailey Allen assisted on McKeown’s goal in the second half.

Taylor Wildes made four saves for the shutout. Jada McIlwain stopped 14 shots for Portland.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 7, WELLS 1: Katie Larson had two goals and an assist to lead the Panthers (6-7) past the Warriors (4-7) in Yarmouth.

Larson’s first goal came three minutes into the game. Caroline Gepfert and Emilia McKenney extended the lead before Larson got her second goal of the first half.

NOBLE 1, PORTLAND 0: Samantha Couture scored three minutes into the second half to lift the Knights (5-4-2) over the Bulldogs (3-7-1) in North Berwick.

Raegan Kelly recorded nine saves for Noble, including a penalty kick with five minutes remaining and a breakaway with five seconds left.

Portland’s Elaina Legere stopped six shots.

GREELY 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 3: Skyler Cooney scored twice in the second half as the Rangers (8-3) defeated the Capers (5-5) in Cape Elizabeth.

Katherine Clancy and Anna DeWolfe also scored for Greely. Prezli Piscopo had two goals and Karli Chapin got the other for Cape.

BRUNSWICK 4, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Maeve Arthur and Sara Scrapchansky each had a goal and an assist to lead the Dragons (11-0) past the Red Eddies (4-6-1) in Auburn.

Anna Kousky and Marley Groat also scored, and Emily Larochelle and Rae Bamberger each recorded an assist.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 7, POLAND 2: Jordan Grant scored four goals to lead the Patriots (9-2) past the Knights (2-8-1) in Gray.

Alexa Thayer, Laurel Thomas, and Jaley Martin also scored for G-NG. Katriana Pratt and Emma Mocciola scored for Poland.

Chelsea Davis and Sydney Rodrigues combined to make four saves for the Patriots. Sydney Hudson and Sophia Vallee had a total of 10 saves for Poland.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 2, VALLEY 1: Agnes Mionga scored a pair of goals to lift the Breakers (5-5) to a win in Bingham.

Kendra Sweet scored a second-half goal for Valley (0-9).

WINDHAM 3, PORTLAND 0: Meghan Harmon had five aces for the Eagles (4-7) as they topped the Bulldogs (6-5) in Portland, 25-22, 25-19, 25-10.

BIDDEFORD 3, MASSABESIC 0: Stephanya Kaminski recorded five aces as the Tigers (9-2) defeated the Mustangs (0-10) in Biddeford, 25-8, 25-15, 25-18.

SCARBOROUGH 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: The Red Storm (8-2) rallied after dropping the first set as they defeated the Trojans (6-5) in Scarborough, 16-25, 25-14, 25-8, 25-6.
