As a former deputy chief of police, sheriff and now state senator, I’ve seen my share of community leaders. I know Kim Cook is ready to join that team as a councilwoman for the residents of North Deering, Deering Center and Riverton.
I’ve known Kim since 2001. She is smart, diligent and represents the kind of fresh thinking our city needs. Her passion and commitment to Portland’s future are second to none. I am convinced that Kim will do all she can as a member of the City Council to ensure Portland remains a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire. She is an independent thinker and problem-solver willing to do what is needed to bring people together.
