Maine Medical Partners announced the following new hires:
Lewis Richards, M.D., is splitting his time between MMP’s hospital medicine and palliative medicine groups.
Evdokia Eleftheriou, M.D., and David Taplinger, M.D., joined MMP – Neurology.
Eleftheriou comes to MMP after recently finishing her fellowship in neuroimmunology/multiple sclerosis at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Taplinger is fellowship trained in clinical neurophysiology/EEG and epilepsy. He will be practicing adult neurology with a focus on the evaluation and management of patients with epilepsy.
Patrick Hohl, D.O., and Christopher Link, M.D., joined MMP – MaineHealth Cardiology
Hohl joined its Lewiston practice. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He served as chief resident and then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease.
Link joined its Scarborough practice. He completed two fellowships, in heart failure and cardiology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Christopher Racine, M.D., joined Maine Medical Center’s department of psychiatry.
Racine completed his residency and fellowship training at New York University’s department of psychiatry.
He comes to MMC from Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was director of emergency psychiatry.
Elbert White IV, M.D., joined MMP – Neurosurgery and Spine.
White joined as a neurosurgery hospitalist.
His clinical interests include traumatic spine fracture, traumatic brain injury, intracranial hemorrhage and geriatric spine.
Elizabeth DesJardin, M.D., joined the Breast Care Center at Maine Medical Center Cancer Institute.
DesJardin completed a residency in surgery at Maine Medical Center.
She also completed a breast surgical fellowship at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
Emily Carter, M.D., joined MMP – Geriatric Medicine.
Carter completed her residency at Maine Medical Center and her fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine.
Jared Cassin, M.D., and Amy Riviere, D.O., joined MMP – Hospital Medicine.
Cassin and Riviere will both work at Maine Medical Center and Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Cassin completed his residency at New York University School of Medicine.
Riviere completed her residency at MMC. Her clinical interests include quality improvement and cardiology.
