WINDHAM — Gorham scored three goals in the first half Wednesday night and went on to a 3-2 victory against Windham in an SMAA girls’ soccer game.

Maddie Hincher scored 5:05 into the game for the Rams (9-2-1), who led 3-1 at halftime over the Eagles (6-3-3).

Emma Forgues scored in the 11th minute to make it 2-0. Meghan Hoffses answered for Windham at 17:32 to cut into the lead, but Alexis Fotter made it a two-goal game for Gorham in the 25th minute.

Michelle Rowe finished with six saves for Gorham. Kaitlyn Roberts had four for Windham.

FREEPORT 2, LAKE REGION 0: Catriona Gould had a goal in each half as the Falcons (8-4) downed the Lakers (4-7-1) at Freeport.

Gould’s second goal came with 3:49 remaining.

Madison Rock had 12 saves for Lake Region, Carly Intraversato stopped six shots for Freeport.

BUCKFIELD 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Julia Dow scored twice for the Bucks (7-3-2), who took a 3-0 halftime lead and beat the Panthers (2-10) at Yarmouth.

Kathryn Anderson added a first-half goal for Buckfield. Natalie Farrell scored from Helen Hamblett for NYA.

Aisley Snell made 10 saves for the Panthers. Molly Bourget had five for Buckfield.

MASSABESIC 3, MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY 2: Alycia Cormier scored the winning goal with 12 minutes remaining for the Mustangs (2-10), who rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to beat the Lions (0-12) at Portland.

Serena Mower scored twice in the first half for the Lions.

Massabesic cut it to 2-1 on a goal from Brooke Cox with 24 minutes remaining, and tied it six minutes later when Sarah DesVergnes scored.

Carly Beaulieu had 10 saves for Maine Girls’ Academy. Julia Blackington had eight for Massabesic.

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, NOBLE 1: Evelyn Selser scored off a scramble with 1:10 to play in the second overtime as the Red Riots (6-3-3) downed the Knights (5-5-2) at South Portland.

Sophie Chase gave South Portland a 1-0 lead, putting in a low cross from Hattie Tetzlaff at 17:23 of the first half.

Amy Fleming tied it with an unassisted goal late in regulation.

BONNY EAGLE 1, PORTLAND 1: Grace LaGrange opened the scoring for the Bulldogs (3-7-2) on a direct kick after seven minutes and Emily Byrne answered for the Scots (7-4-1) from Muddy Johnson in the 22nd minute at Standish.

Lainey Legere and Caroline Lerch combined for eight saves for Portland. Sydney Gillingham stopped 12 shots for Bonny Eagle.

CHEVERUS 3, SANFORD 1: Emma Gallant scored twice, including breaking a 1-1 tie in the 56th minute from Lauren Jordan as the Stags (10-2) beat the Spartans (7-5) at Portland.

Cheverus opened the scoring after eight minutes on a goal by Mackenzie Johnston from Tholia Hallett.

After Abby Toothaker scored in the 48th minute to tie it, Gallant put in her go-ahead goal eight minutes later, then added her second goal in the 65th minute.

GREELY 3, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Julia Martel scored twice, including breaking a scoreless tie 29 minutes into the game, as the Rangers (8-3) beat the Hawks (4-8) at South Hiram.

Katherine Clancy scored with 7:37 left in the half to give Greely a 2-0 lead. Martel put in her second goal with 28 minutes to play.

Camille Clement had 13 saves for the Rangers. Kylie Day finished with 11 for the Hawks.

THORNTON ACADEMY 2, BIDDEFORD 1: Alyanna Beaudoin put in a header of an Elizabeth Bell corner kick in the 55th minute to lead the Golden Trojans (5-7) over the Tigers (2-11) at Saco.

Alaina Kelly opened the scoring for Biddeford at 10 minutes, putting in a shot from around the 6-yard box, but Kylie Bedard answered off a Beaudoin cross from the corner with less than two minutes to play in the half.

FIELD HOCKEY

KENNEBUNK 8, DEERING 2: Britney Gregoire had two goals and two assists for Kennebunk (10-1), which opened a 7-1 halftime lead against visiting Deering (2-11-1).

Lindsey Gregoire added two goals and an assist, Kate Moore chipped in with two goals, and Kaylee Gregoire and Christine Jarowicz also scored for Kennebunk.

Donna Thach and Alexis Mesik countered for Deering.

CHEVERUS 1, NOBLE 0: Isabella Booth scored from Sophia Pompeo with 14:17 left in the first half, and the Stags (11-3) held off the Knights (2-11-1) at Portland.

Kaylee Mayotte had nine saves for Noble. Kathryn Kane finished with seven for Cheverus.

BONNY EAGLE 1, WINDHAM 1: Sadie Denico scored the tying goal off a penalty corner with 3:58 to play in regulation as the Scots (5-8-1) tied the Eagles (1-11-2) at Windham.

Julia Libby scored for Windham at 14:42 of the first half on a penalty stroke.

Chloe Owen stopped 10 shots for the Scots. Grace Sawyer recorded 13 saves for Windham.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2, BOOTHBAY REGION 1: Avery Williams scored with 2:20 left in overtime as the Phoenix (10-4) beat the Seahawks (12-2) at Boothbay Harbor.

Boothbay opened the scoring after 6:40 on a goal by Chloe Arsenault from Page Brown.

Spruce Mountain tied it with 3:20 left in the half on a goal from Emily Castonguay.

Sydney Shaffer had 14 saves for Spruce Mountain. Emily Amaral finished with 11 for Boothbay.

GORHAM 2, PORTLAND 0: Grace McGouldrick scored twice in the final four minutes as the Rams (6-8) beat the Bulldogs (0-13-1) at Gorham.

McGouldrick broke a scoreless tie with 3:10 remaining, then scored with 14 seconds left.

WESTBROOK 2, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Mary Keef and Avery Tucker scored as the Blue Blazes (10-4) shut out the Red Riots (4-10) at South Portland.

Keef scored after 11 minutes and Tucker added a goal in the 25th.

Maddy Drolet stopped 18 shots for South Portland. Kim Goddard had four saves for the Blue Blazes.

YORK 1, GREELY 0: Jess Smith scored on a rebound with 2:57 to play as the Wildcats (11-2-1) defeated the Rangers (7-6-1) at Cumberland.

Kylie Rogers had 16 saves for Greely.

BIDDEFORD 6, MARSHWOOD 0: Sarah Marcotte scored three goals as the Tigers (12-2) downed the Hawks (7-7) at Biddeford.

Abby Allen, Katie Monson and Peyton Mckeown added goals for Biddeford, which led 2-0 at halftime. Sarah Arenberg had eight saves for Marshwood.

CONY 3, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Kami Lambert scored two goals to lead the Rams (7-6-1) over the Windjammers (4-9-1) at Camden.

SKOWHEGAN 8, BRUNSWICK 0: Maliea Kelso notched three goals and had two assists to lead the Indians (13-1) over the Dragons (5-9) at Brunswick.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 2, LEAVITT 0: Nate Simmons headed in the rebound of a Terry Matsuda penalty kick to break a scoreless tie in the second half as the Eagles (8-3-2) got by the Hornets (5-4-3) at Newcastle.

Will Shaffer added a late goal for Lincoln Academy.
