SOUTH BERWICK — Grace Soucy scored in the second overtime as ninth-seeded Falmouth earned a 2-1 victory over No. 8 Marshwood in a Class A South field hockey prelim Saturday.

Falmouth (7-8) led 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Stone Carmichael about seven minutes into the game. Carmichael also assisted on the winning goal.

Madison Person tied it for Marshwood (7-8) midway through the second half.

Caitlin Bull made eight saves for Falmouth, who will visit top-ranked Scarborough for a quarterfinal Tuesday.

KENNEBUNK 1, GORHAM 0: Christine Jarowicz scored midway through the second half as fifth-seeded Kennebunk (11-4) edged 12th-seeded Gorham (6-9) in a Class A South prelim at Kennebunk.

Haley Moody made five saves for the shutout. Gorham’s Jessica Dusseault stopped 12 shots.

Kennebunk will face fourth-seeded Biddeford in the quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WESTBROOK 8, BONNY EAGLE 0: Avery Tucker had three goals and an assist to lead the sixth-seeded Blue Blazes (11-4) past the 11th-seeded Scots (5-9-1) in a Class A South prelim in Standish.

Jaclyn Hazelwood added a pair of goals, Morgan LeBeau had a goal and an assist, and Mary Keef and Katie Champagne also scored.

Sydney Owen stopped 14 shots for Bonny Eagle, while Kimmy Goddard had three saves for the Blue Blazes, who will face No. 3 Cheverus in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

LISBON 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Sydney Plourde scored twice in the second half to rally the eighth-seeded Greyhounds (3-10-2) past the ninth-seeded Rangers (4-10-1) in a Class C South prelim in Lisbon Falls.

Reilly Eddy’s goal with five minutes left in the first half gave Traip a 1-0 lead.

Plourde tied it about six minutes into the second half and got the winner with 3:33 left.

Lisbon will face top-seeded St. Dominic in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

SOCCER

GREELY 5, WAYNFLETE 1: Courtney Sullivan and Brooke Obar each tallied a pair of goals, and the Rangers (10-3) pulled away in the second half to beat the Flyers (6-5-2) in Cumberland.

Molly Hale also scored for Greely, which led 2-1 at halftime. Waynflete got a goal from Ava Farrar.

Camille Clemente made three saves for the Rangers, while Ya Stockford stopped eight shots for the Flyers.

YARMOUTH 1, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Sara D’Appolonia reached the 30-goal mark for the season with a goal in the ninth minute, and the Clippers (13-0) shut out the Capers (7-6) in Cape Elizabeth.

WINDHAM 8, WESTBROOK 1: Meghan Hoffses and Jordan Lloyd each scored twice for the Eagles (7-4-2) in a victory over the Blue Blazes (3-11) in Westbrook.

Julia McKenna, Alana Joyce, Hanna Kaplan and Riley Beem also scored for Windham.

Angelica Johns got a late goal for Westbrook.

YORK 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Nina Howe scored three goals and Halee Bando added two as the Wildcats (7-5-1) beat the Rangers (9-3-2) in Kittery.

Eliza Linn got the other goal.

VINALHAVEN/NORTH HAVEN 1, VALLEY 0: Deja Doughty scored an unassisted goal to lift the Vikings (7-5-2) over the Cavaliers (0-13) in Bingham.

Gilleyanne Davis-Oakes made four saves for Vinalhaven. Kendra Sweet, Lexi Davis and Jada Ward combined to make 18 saves for Valley.

VOLLEYBALL

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY SPLITS: Sydney Plummer had 14 kills, eight aces and six digs to lead NYA (7-7) to a 3-1 win over Machias (2-11) in Yarmouth.

The Panthers took the final two sets to complete a 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22 victory.

Grace Preston recorded 12 kills for Machias.

Earlier, NYA dropped a five-set match against Washington Academy (8-5), 25-21, 13-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-12.
