YORK — Natalie Panteleos scored twice Tuesday to help top-ranked York defeat eighth-seeded Fryeburg Academy 3-0 in a Class B South field hockey quarterfinal.

York (12-2-1) will be home Friday against fifth-ranked Lake Region (8-7) in the semifinals.

Sydney Bouchard had two assists and added a goal with under seven minutes left.

Julianna Kiklis made three saves for the shutout. Bridget Fahey stopped eight shots for Fryeburg (5-10).

CONY 1, MT. ARARAT 0: Kami Lambert converted an overtime penalty corner to give the fourth-seeded Rams (8-6-1) a Class A North quarterfinal victory against fifth-ranked Mt. Ararat (9-6) at Augusta,.

Cony will be at top-ranked Skowhegan (14-1) in a semifinal at 3 p.m. Friday.

The Eagles had three shots on Cony keeper Jessica Lee, none in the second half.

Cony finished with eight shots on goal, none in the second half until hitting Mt Ararat goalie Lily Schenk with a five-shot flurry midway through, when she stopped two point-blank shots by Cari Hopkins.

The game reverted to defense until Lambert received a pass from Julia Reny and scored on a hard right-to-left shot from 10 yards with 4:47 left in the first overtime.

DIRIGO 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Sophie Jacques scored three goals in the first half as the fourth-seeded Cougars (10-5) powered past the fifth-ranked Panthers (6-8) in a Class C South quarterfinal at Dixfield.

Dirigo will face top-ranked St. Dominic (15-0) in the semifinals Friday at Auburn.

SKOWHEGAN 11, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Julia Steeves scored five goals to lead the top-ranked Indians (14-1) past eighth-seeded Edward Little (5-10) in a Class A North quarterfinal at Skowhegan.

GREELY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2: Courtney Sullivan, Brooke Obar and Skyler Cooney scored in the first half as the Rangers (11-3) defeated the Patriots (6-7-1) at Cumberland.

Katherine Steinberg and Katherine Clancy added second-half goals for Greely.

Camille Clement made six saves for Greely. Chelsea Davis stopped eight shots for Gray-New Gloucester.

PORTLAND 1, BIDDEFORD 0: Isabelle Moore scored on a breakaway with 1:26 to play in the second overtime as the Bulldogs (4-7-3) defeated the Tigers (2-12) at Biddeford.

Jillian Lewis turned back 16 shots for Biddeford. Lainey Legere had eight saves to record the shutout.

GORHAM 2, SANFORD 0: Emma Forgues scored twice, including breaking a scoreless tie with 22 minutes remaining as the Rams (10-2-2) beat the Spartans (7-7) at Gorham.

Forgues scored her second goal with a minute remaining from Alexis Fotter.

Kayla Pierce had 11 saves for Sanford. Michelle Rowe stopped six shots for Gorham.

CHEVERUS 1, NOBLE 0: Emma Gallant scored eight minutes in and Cheverus (12-2) went on to beat the Knights (6-6-2) at North Berwick.

Gallant dribbled the ball across the top of the 18, slipping past defenders while moving left to right before lining in a hard left-footed shot.

Raegan Kelly kept Noble in the game with 13 saves. Neve Cawley stopped both shots she faced for the Stags.

MORSE 1, OCEANSIDE 0: Emily Martin scored with 10 minutes remaining from Sierra Wallace as the Shipbuilders (9-3-2) beat the Mariners (8-5-1) at Rockland.

Marissa Parks had nine saves for Morse.

SOUTH PORTLAND 3, DEERING 2: Hattie Tetzlaff shot past a diving goalie, giving the Red Riots (7-4-3) a 3-0 second-half lead before Mia Sargent converted a pair of late penalty kicks for Deering (2-9-3) at South Portland.

South Portland opened the scoring when Sophie Chase lifted a penalty kick into the far upper corner midway through the opening half. Juliana Selser upped the lead to 2-0 before the break, receiving Bela Cloutier’s low pass between defender and releasing a low shot for the goal.

Jewels Ward finished with eight saves for the Riots and Gianna Charest had 15 for the Rams.

SCARBOROUGH 4, WINDHAM 1: The Red Storm (13-0-1) scored three second-half goals to pull away from a 1-1 halftime tie and complete an undefeated regular season, pulling away from the Eagles (7-5-2) at Windham.

Riley Beem scored from Meghan Hoffses after 6:21 to give Windham the lead but Molly Murnane answered from Josie Patten in the 15th minute.

Lauren Sabatino scored from Jess Rinaldi to give the Red Storm the lead for good at 4:18 of the second half, and Murnane and Ashley Sabatino added unassisted goals in a 1:40 span.

Kaitlyn Roberts stopped 19 saves for the Eagles. Emily Royce had eight saves for Scarborough.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, POLAND 0: Prezli Piscopo and Karli Chapin each had a pair of goals for the Capers (8-6) against the Knights (2-11-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

ST. DOMINIC 5, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Avery Lutrzykowski and Rileigh Stebbins each scored twice as the Saints (7-6-1) cruised past the Panthers (2-12) at Yarmouth.

Madison Samson also scored.

Aisley Snell had 24 saves for NYA.

YORK 5, WAYNFLETE 0: Payton Humphrey scored twice, and Delaney LaBonte added a goal and two assists to lead York (8-5-1) against the Flyers (6-6-2) at Portland.

Humphrey scored from Ellie Bychok for an early 1-0 lead. LaBonte then set up Morgan Smith and Eliza Linn to up the margin to 3-0 at the break. Humphrey and LaBonte added second-half goals, with Nina Howe assisting on LaBonte’s goal.

VOLLEYBALL

DEERING 3, BRUNSWICK 0: Maddy Broda had 28 assists and six aces as the Rams (13-1) swept the Dragons (6-8) at Portland.

Janelle Ridge had 16 digs for Deering, Dianne Dervis added 11 kills and three aces, and Avery Donovan finished with seven kills and a pair of blocks as the Rams won, 25-10, 25-22 25-6.

Kathleen Trapp had seven kills and two digs for Brunswick. MacKenzie Burrows added four kills and two digs.

PORTLAND 3, CHEVERUS 0: Ashley Chadbourne recorded seven kills and Shayla Eubanks added five as the Bulldogs (8-6) downed visiting Cheverus (2-12) 25-16, 25-16, 25-18 to complete the regular season at Portland.

Sarah Bryan contributed 10 digs for Portland.

Julia Pomerleau had seven aces and 10 kills, and Mary Jerome added 12 digs for the Stags.
